In real life, it appears the Bahamian government is going to have something even better. They purchased naval patrol vessels from the Netherlands's Damen Shipyards Group. They will be operated not by the RBPF- like the go-fast boats featured in the Corey Pearson spy series- but by the Royal Bahamian Defense Force (RBDF).
This will upgrade the current fleet of vessels operated by Bahamian defense forces. There will be nine patrol ships- four Damen Stan Patrol 4207s, four type SPa 3007s and a dedicated roll-on, roll-off landing craft (a Stan Lander 5612) fitted with a crane and demountable disaster relief equipment. The 154-foot long Stan Patrol 4207 is for blue-water patrol and has a range of more than 2,000 nautical miles and a top speed of more than 24 knots and can carry up to 24 crew. The Stan Patrol 3007 is specifically designed for operations in the coastal waters and shallow banks.
Damen has sold these patrol vessels to many countries and delivers them without armament, or solely with small arms. They do have a water cannon and make excellent
pursuit craft without first stopping. They are equipped with a horizontal thruster in their bows, to aid maneuvering in tight conditions, such as mooring in crowded anchorages.
When you vacation in Nassau, Paradise Island or in the remote out-islands in the Bahamas, chances are you will see one of these hi-tech, swift patrol boats protecting the archipelago. Below is a short video of a Stan Patrol 5009 meeting a Stan Patrol 4207:
